# Klaviyo

Klaviyo publishes its own MCP server, and that is what you're connected to. Its tools are the
reference — they come from Klaviyo, and they change as Klaviyo changes.

## Where the tools are

- **On the built-in brain**: your own tool list, prefixed `mcp_klaviyo_…`.
- **On a CLI brain**: that CLI's tool list, under the `klaviyo` server.

No API key to paste. No Klaviyo tools visible means the operator hasn't connected it — **Skill store →
Klaviyo → Connect**.

## Know which account you're in

Authorizing picked one Klaviyo account. If the operator runs several (agencies usually do), confirm
which one before you report a number or touch a campaign — the same segment name exists in all of them
and the figures will look plausible either way.

## What it's good for

- **Reading performance** — campaign and flow metrics, segment sizes, event counts. Good for "how did
the last send do" and "which segment is growing".
- **Finding people** — profiles and list membership, to answer a question about one customer.
- **Preparing work** — drafting a segment definition or a campaign for a human to review.

## Care

This tool reaches **a list of real people's inboxes**. That deserves more caution than a usual API.

- **Never send a campaign.** Sending is irreversible, it reaches thousands of people at once, and it
is not a decision an agent should make. Prepare it, describe exactly who it would reach, and stop.
- Never activate, pause, or edit a live flow — a flow is running automation, and changing it mid-flight
  changes what people receive tomorrow.
- Never delete a profile, list, or segment.
- Reading and reporting is where you're most useful here; say numbers with the account and date range
  they came from.
